Fatti rapidi: Tre piani di gallerie ospitano di tutto, dallo scheletro di un alce di 10.000 anni fa a una vera mummia di nome Nesyamun. Il museo si trova all'interno di un grandioso edificio ottocentesco, ex istituto meccanico, con una splendida sala centrale dal tetto di vetro.
Punti salienti: La tigre di Leeds, una gigantesca tigre del Bengala impagliata che si esibiva in un circo ambulante prima di essere donata al museo, accoglie i visitatori vicino all'ingresso con un intenso ruggito congelato. Poco più in là, la galleria Life's Journey espone Nesyamun, la mummia il cui volto di 3.000 anni fa è stato sottoposto a TAC nel 2020, rivelando che soffriva di gravi ascessi dentali e malattie gengivali.
