Plan language: EnglishThings to do in China include exploring the Great Wall, which stretches over 21,000 km and offers stunning views. Visit the Forbidden City in Beijing, with its 980 preserved buildings. Do not miss the Terracotta Army in Xi'an, featuring thousands of life-sized warrior sculptures.

Beijing
Quick facts: Climbing the rocky stairs immediately gives the feeling of the cold hard surface of the stone and the rustling of mountain air in the ears. The height of the steps varies, forcing an adjustment with each step. More than 20 watchtowers line the winding defensive line. As you look at the valley, mist and clouds roll by, and the special layers in the depth of the image make the photograph even more impressive.
Highlights: Through the stairs, you reach the 23rd watchtower where you can smell the pine needles and withered leaves. A slight body movement offers a panorama of the entire valley and the curved texture of the wall. Many choose the cable car or monorail sleds to descend the mountain. During the journey, you can see the undulating wall and deep forest belts from a lower height, and the air passing through the ears remains a stronger memory than the photographs.

Beijing
Quick facts: When you pass through the red gates, blue stone slabs clearly set the rhythm of your steps, forcing you to slow down and listen to the whisper of the old city. Golden shiny roofs are illuminated by sunlight. The complex covers nearly 720,000 square meters, with about 980 buildings and 8,704 rooms, creating a sense of grandeur.
Highlights: Along the main axis, you will notice decorative animals and colorful pictures on the roofs with repeated numbers "nine" and "five". They are not just decoration but represent a language that shows rank in every detail. On the wall of the royal garden, nine dragons can be counted. Each dragon has a unique face and poses. The color shine in sunlight changes shade from emerald green to darker blue. When you get closer, you can smell blood vessels, wood, and dust.

Shanghai
Quick facts: The river air brings the sound of boat bells and the smell of roasted food. The nearly 1.5-kilometer-long stone path is surrounded by over 50 old buildings of different styles. This used to be the financial network center of East Asia. More clocks and marble gates still attract photographers in the morning searching for perfect light.
Highlights: The breeze along the shore mixes the smell of damp metal and the sound of camera shutters. Often between five and seven in the morning, brides, grooms, and photo groups create a long string of light using warm-colored reflectors. The mechanical clock on the bell tower gives a long tone with three short sounds every quarter of an hour that echoes throughout the night. Long exposure photographs often use this effect to create dynamic light displays at night.

Lhasa
Explore a masterpiece at the top of the world. Walk through corridors filled with stories and golden art shining in natural light.
Quick facts: A single structure houses more than 1,000 rooms, corridors, and sanctuaries, serving as palace, temple, and fortress. The complexity of its constructions on a rocky plateau impresses with ancient engineering without the use of nails or modern cement.
Highlights: Steep stairs and hidden chambers lead to golden reliquaries containing hundreds of sacred statues of Tibetan Buddhism. Natural lighting changes throughout the day, making the gold of the interior decorations shine intensely, creating a mystical and sacred atmosphere.

Guilin
Quick facts: The Li River boat ride offers views of unusual karst mountains stretching for hundreds of kilometers, creating a magnificent mountain landscape. The water surface, calm as a mirror, reflects the blue sky and distant mountains, as if you were in a fairy tale world.
Highlights: Near the Li River mountains, many shapes can be found, such as the "elephant trunk" and the "yellow earth reflection." On the water surface, small bamboo boats with fishermen often float, creating a peaceful and lively picture. From the boat, you can also hear sounds showing traditional fishing skills where fishermen demonstrate falcons displaying the ancient art of fishing in harmony with nature.

Beijing
Quick facts: When you enter the park, the striking rhythm of blue shiny tiles and symmetrical red walls immediately captivates you. In the morning, deep breaths of solo horn and tai chi are often heard. Covering an area of more than 200 hectares, there are several Heavenly Prayer buildings along the main axis, using numerical symbols that represent royal power and heavenly wishes.
Highlights: The Qinian Temple has three rooftops without a single nail. The blue shiny tiles shine like waves in the sun, and you can smell old wood and the influence of time as you approach. Next to the echo wall Yuanqiualtan, you can quietly whisper, and the sound can spread several meters. Old Beijing residents usually use folding fans or coins to test the echo; it is a soothing and almost secret display.

Jiuzhaigou
Scenic valley with colorful lakes and vibrant waterfalls. Experience pure nature and landscapes that look like living paintings.
Quick facts: The region is home to more than 100 crystal-clear lakes in shades of blue, green, and turquoise. The area, sacred to the Tibetans and Qiang people, is famous for its impressive waterfalls and rich biodiversity.
Highlights: Lakes reflect snow-covered mountains creating breathtaking scenery that changes with the seasons. The water has a high concentration of calcium carbonate, which forms limestone deposits that maintain transparency and vibrant color.

Zhangjiajie
Worth it for those who enjoy surreal nature. Experience landscapes that seem to come from a visual dream.
Quick facts: Imagine more than 3,000 quartzite rock pillars reaching up to 200 meters high, forming a stone forest unique in the world. These pillars inspired the floating scenes in the movie Avatar, making the landscape famous worldwide.
Highlights: Be fascinated by the Bai Long Elevator, the glass elevator that climbs 326 meters up the face of a cliff, offering breathtaking views. Also, explore trails that cross glass suspension bridges where you can literally walk in the clouds.

Shanghai
Quick facts: When you look at the spiral tower, it feels like you are trapped inside a huge glass vortex structure. The tower is 632 meters tall and dominates the skyline. The speed of the super-fast elevator reaches approximately 20.5 meters per second and quickly takes you to a view from over one hundred floors, with a slight pressure in the ears.
Highlights: When you enter the space between the shell and the tower, you will see gardens in the air. The most impressive is the observation deck on the 118th floor, where you can feel gusts of air and slight vibrations below the glass. At night, the mask reflects silver-blue gradient light, and with echoes from spiral cracks, it almost feels like you can hear the air swirling spirally down the valley.
