If you want authentic Papuan food, ask locals for the small warungs off the main street. Much better and cheaper than tourist restaurants.
Waisai is a fantastic gateway for diving fans. The seafood is unbeatable. Friendly locals made the stay enjoyable. Just pack for sudden rain.
Really loved the calm vibe of Waisai. Food stalls offer great local dishes but sometimes hard to find menus in English. Best time to visit is the dry season.
Take the early morning speedboat to Sorong, tickets are cheaper and it’s less crowded. Book a day before to guarantee your seat.
Weather was humid but perfect for beach lovers. Food was fresh but pricey around tourist spots. Stayed 3 days and it felt just right for exploring the main highlights.
