Greiti faktai: The museum holds over 4,000 works across a sprawling Soviet-era building that was originally built as a museum of the revolution. Its collection spans everything from Lithuanian avant-garde to international heavyweights like Andy Warhol and Jasper Johns.

Akcentai: On the top floor, a massive stained-glass window by Lithuanian artist Kazys Morkūnas bathes the stairwell in shifting amber light throughout the day. The permanent exhibition also includes a rarely seen hologram portrait of Jonas Mekas, the legendary avant-garde filmmaker, that flickers to life as you walk past.
