Raske fakta: Den mektige 12 meter høye fossen oppsto da elven Lech falt over en steinterskel etter siste istid. Hvert år strømmer utrolige 40 millioner kubikkmeter vann gjennom denne fossen.

Høydepunkter: Under overflaten dundrer i praksis en enorm naturlig betongblokk som vannet har slipt på i tusenvis av år, og som skaper utrolige virvler og skumputer. Under storflom forvandles hele Lechfall til en tordnende hvit sky som kan føles på tungen hundre meter unna.

Stand on the viewing platform as close to the water as possible, but watch out for slippery rocks, especially after rain.
Protect your camera with a plastic bag, the water mist is intense and can wet the lens within seconds.
Come on a weekday early in the morning, around nine o'clock no one will get there before you.
From the bridge above the waterfall, look down into the whirlpools. The color of the water is an incredible turquoise due to fine clay.
