Thiruvananthapuram Zoo
Beste tid å besøke
The best time is the cool mornings between November and February, when the big predators are most active. Late afternoons and weekends attract large school groups, so avoid them if you want quieter walking paths.
Budsjettips
Expect around 50 rupees for adults and half price for children, with a lower fee for an Indian passport than a foreign one. Buy a ticket covering the entire museum quarter including the Napier Museum; it is cheaper than separate purchases and saves time in the queue.

Insidertips
- Bring water, a hat and comfortable shoes; the park is vast and several trails lack shade.
- Photograph the lion-tailed macaques from the higher viewpoints; they often stay in the treetops.
- Visit the reptile house in the morning when the warmth lures the snakes out of their hiding places.
- Include the Napier Museum and the natural history museum in the same visit; they are right next to each other with a short walk through the garden.
