Raske fakta: Denne festningen står på en 8 meter høy klippe, og murene er hele 2 meter tykke. Til byggingen ble det brukt en unik blanding av hirse, vann og kalk, noe som gir en usedvanlig styrke.
Høydepunkter: Spaserer du rundt på 360 graders utsiktsgangen på toppen, åpner hele Sur by og den buktende kystlinjen seg for deg. Når vinden blåser gjennom de gamle skyteskår, høres en svak summing, som om festningen snakker. Her fantes en gang en hemmelig rømningstunnel som førte direkte til en vannkilde.

- You will get the best photo of the fortress from the southwestern side when the sun sets behind the walls.
- Wear comfortable shoes, as the stairs are narrow and steep, especially when climbing to the very top.
- There is no air conditioning inside, so it is best to avoid visiting at midday in summer.
- On the way up, stop by the ancient cannons and imagine what life looked like here 300 years ago.
