Beste tid å besøke

The best time to arrive is early in the morning (around 8-9 a.m.), when the sun has not yet heated the rocks and the crowds are still small. During the season (October-April), the temperature is most pleasant for hiking.

Budsjettips

Entrance is free, but you need to pay for the boat across the stream (0.5 OMR, about 1.3 EUR) in cash. Google whether there is a free parking lot nearby, and have cash for small purchases.

Insidertips

  • Do not forget water-resistant shoes or sandals, as most of the way you will have to wade through water.
  • The hidden cave is about a 40-minute hike from the starting point, so bring snacks and water.
  • Diving into the cave requires swimming skills, so if you are not confident in your abilities, limit yourself to swimming near the entrance.
  • The best photos from inside the cave are taken around noon, when the sun shines directly through the opening in the ceiling.
