Gaudí er gravlagt i krypten under bygget, og siden mange av hans modeller og skisser ble ødelagt i 1936 må dagens restauratører kombinere gamle fotografier, håndskrevne notater og 3D-modeller for å gjenskape de mest detaljerte elementene.
