For snorkeling, head to An Thoi islands early to avoid crowds and bring your own gear, rentals can be pricey and low quality.
Phu Quoc is beautiful but the rainy season hit hard during my trip, which was a bummer. Still worth visiting if you pick the dry months.
Weather was mostly sunny, perfect for beach days. The night market is a must for foodies. Budget travelers might find prices a bit higher than mainland Vietnam.
Avoid eating near Long Beach's main drag at night, you’ll get better meals and prices 5 minutes away by scooter. Also, grab Sim wine from local vendors, much cheaper off the beaten path.
Stayed a week and felt like that was just enough to explore without rushing. The island has chill vibes, but avoid the busiest resorts to get a more local feel.
