Korte feiten: Met 70 koepels en een tiental minaretten is deze moskee uniek in heel Bangladesh. Ze is gebouwd van terracotta en handgemaakte bakstenen, en elke koepel heeft een ander decoratief motief.
Hoogtepunten: Wanneer je onder de centrale koepel staat en omhoogkijkt, zul je zien dat geen enkele van de 70 koepels hetzelfde is: elke heeft zijn eigen geometrische patroon, met de hand getekend. Lokale vaklieden hebben meer dan 25 verschillende islamitische motieven direct in de baksteen verwerkt, zonder een enkele verfkleur te gebruiken.

- Wear long sleeves and pants out of respect, and bring a scarf to cover your head.
- The best photos are taken from the southeastern corner of the courtyard, where most of the domes are visible at once.
- Be sure to take off your shoes before entering and leave them in the designated area, not on the stairs.
- If you want peace and quiet, come on weekdays when there are no worshippers coming to pray.
