Korte feiten: Een van de hoogste barokke kerktorens ter wereld is 65 meter hoog en is al van kilometers afstand te zien. De kathedraal beschikt over een zeldzaam bewaard 18e-eeuws fresco dat door een enkele kunstenaar in de loop van een decennium werd geschilderd.
Hoogtepunten: Stap naar binnen en kijk omhoog: de plafondfresco's lijken als een stof te rimpelen, geschilderd met zo'n illusionistische vaardigheid dat het platte pleister lijkt te bollen en te vouwen. Volgens een lokale legende viel de kunstenaar drie keer van zijn steiger tijdens het voltooien van het werk, maar brak nooit een enkel bot.
