Korte feiten: Je staat nooit meer dan een paar tramhaltes van het stadscentrum, maar dit bospark van 123 hectare trekt zich daar volledig niets van aan en vloeit over in het door UNESCO beschermde Zoniënwoud. Het met de hand voortgetrokken vlot van het meer brengt al generaties lang mensen naar Île Robinson, en op zaterdag- en zondagochtend vullen de autovrije lanen zich met joggers, hondenuitlaters en wie de race om de laatste trappelboot heeft gewonnen.
Hoogtepunten: Aan de overkant van het meer op Île Robinson verstopten de plaatselijke bewoners tijdens de bezetting in de jaren veertig ooit een koe in een verborgen bunker en roeiden haar elke avond naar buiten, zodat de kinderen uit de buurt verse melk bleven krijgen. Luister vandaag nog vlak bij de speeltuin en je hoort ouders dat verhaal navertellen tussen de rondes ijs en het geknars van de schommels.
