Korte feiten: Op 48 meter boven de North Saskatchewan-rivier is het de langste en hoogste brug in zijn soort ter wereld. De twee dekken vervoerden ooit trams boven terwijl treinen en voertuigen beneden passeerden, een staaltje techniek uit 1913.
Hoogtepunten: Elk jaar op 31 oktober sinds 1994 verandert het bovendek van de brug in een liefdadigheidsbungeejump platform genaamd "The Drop", waarbij meer dan 200 springers naar de rivier beneden duiken om geld in te zamelen voor lokale non-profitorganisaties. Originele tramrails liggen nog steeds langs het bovendek, zichtbaar door de houten planken terwijl je eroverheen loopt.

- Park on the south side (Strathcona) end for an easier walk and better views of the downtown skyline ahead.
- The lower deck train tracks are active, so time your walk to catch a freight train rumbling by overhead.
- Bring a camera with a wide lens, the bridge's truss framework makes for dramatic silhouette shots at sunset.
- Skip the middle of a hot summer day, the steel deck gets scorching and there is no shade.
