Korte feiten: Twelve giant wooden waterwheels stand along the southern bank of the Yellow River, some reaching over 16 meters in diameter. The largest wheels could lift water nearly 20 meters to irrigate farmland, a technique that fed the region for centuries.
Hoogtepunten: One of the reconstructed wheels still turns in the river current, and on slow days you can hear the creak of its ancient wooden axle echoing across the water. The wheels were said to have been perfected here by local engineer Duan Xu in the 1500s, and the garden preserves his original design in a small display.

- Wear comfortable shoes, the garden has uneven stone paths and connects to a long riverside walking trail.
- Bring a wide-angle lens or phone with panorama mode to capture the full scale of the wheels.
- Walk to the far end of the garden first, then loop back, since the best photo angle of all twelve wheels is from the eastern viewpoint.
- Skip the small souvenir stalls near the entrance and buy snacks from local vendors outside the park for better prices.
