Korte feiten: Je wordt begroet door een torenhoge barokke koepel geschilderd in een explosie van heiligen en illusionistische architectuur. Het plafond voelt meer aan als een theatrale hemel dan een dak. Akoestische pracht verandert reguliere diensten in muziekevenementen, het orgel en de gewelfde stenen laten zelfs een enkel akkoord bloeien en rommelen door het schip.
Hoogtepunten: De enorme fresco’s van Václav Vavřinec Reiner wervelen over de koepel, de geschilderde figuren leunen en storten zo dicht naar je toe dat je bijna de pigmenten kunt proeven. Kilian Ignaz Dientzenhofer vormde het interieur met gebogen galerijen en een slanke klokkentoren. Een enkele aangehouden orgelnoot blijft hangen en trillen in de ruimte zodat je het in je ribben kunt voelen.
