Korte feiten: Middeleeuwse fresco's uit de jaren 1300 versieren het kerkplafond, eeuwenlang verborgen onder witte kalk voordat ze werden herontdekt. Deze Deense dorpskerk werd gebouwd toen lokale boeren hun tienden betaalden in boter en graan, een systeem dat de oorspronkelijke bouw financierde.
Hoogtepunten: Kijk omhoog naar het koorplafond waar een 700 jaar oud fresco een verrassend vrolijke duivel laat zien die wordt overtroefd door een heilige, compleet met originele middeleeuwse verf die nog steeds zichtbaar is. De 16e-eeuwse houten preekstoel van de kerk bevat vier apostelen met gezichten waarvan de lokale bevolking zegt dat ze zijn gemodelleerd naar echte Billundse boeren uit de jaren 1500.
