Korte feiten: De Studentengevangenis is een van de oudste studentengevangenissen in Europa met een strafcel in het gebouw van de Universiteit van Heidelberg. Bezoekers kunnen de originele cellen en instrumenten zien die werden gebruikt voor de discipline van studenten.
Hoogtepunten: Het interieur herbergt authentieke cellen met houtsnijwerk en graffiti die door studenten uit de 18e en 19e eeuw zijn achtergelaten, en toont hun overtredingen en humor. Bijzonder interessant is het oude belmechanisme dat diende om 'gevangenen' op te roepen voor disciplinaire gesprekken.
