Korte feiten: Opgedragen aan de god van overwinning en voorspoed trekt dit heiligdom jaarlijks meer dan 300.000 gelovigen tijdens de nieuwjaarsperiode alleen al. De enorme rode torii-poort en de gedetailleerde houtsnijwerken maken het een van de meest opvallende heiligdommen van Tokio.
Hoogtepunten: Elke twee jaar organiseert het heiligdom de Kanda Matsuri, een van de drie grote shintofestivals van Tokio, waarbij 200 draagbare heiligdommen door de straten worden geparadeerd. Als u half mei van oneven jaren komt, ziet u een processie van muzikanten, dansers en deelnemers in samoeraikostuums die zich over meerdere straten uitstrekt.
