Hoogtepunten: Daal af via een met cederbomen omzoomde laan naar een park van 18 hectare waar een villa uit de jaren 30 in art deco-stijl tussen vijvers, camelia-bedden en gevormde hagen blijft liggen, zo stil dat je het geklap van een duivenvleugel en het geschraap van curatorslaarzen op grind kunt horen. Het hedendaagse museum, ontworpen door Álvaro Siza Vieira en geopend in 1999, werd bewust laag gehouden om het landschap het uitzicht te laten domineren, en lokale gidsen vertellen nog steeds het eigenzinnige verhaal dat vroege ochtendmist ooit een hele tentoonstelling naar buiten dwong, waardoor het park een onbedoelde openluchtgalerie werd.
