Korte feiten: Dit historische lido werd in 1911 geopend als onderdeel van een grootschalige boulevard in liberty-stijl aan zee en heeft een kleurrijke rij houten kleedhokjes in roze, geel en blauw. De elegante art-nouveaupier strekt zich 200 meter uit in de Tyrreense Zee en biedt ansichtkaartwaardige uitzichten op Monte Pellegrino.
Hoogtepunten: De houten kleedhokjes veranderen om de paar jaar van kleur via een publieke stemming, zodat de plaatselijke bevolking het kleurenpalet aan zee kan bepalen. Op zomeravonden verandert de pier in een openluchtpodium waar oudere vissers samenkomen om onder lichtjes traditionele Siciliaanse kaartspellen te spelen, een avondritueel dat sinds de jaren 1930 onveranderd is.
