Korte feiten: Deze tuinen, verspreid over ongeveer 2,5 hectare, bevinden zich op de oude plek van de koninklijke stallen. De verzonken siervijver weerkaatst de westelijke gevel van het paleis perfect, omlijst door geknipte cipressenhagen en statige lindebomen.
Hoogtepunten: Zoek naar de balustrade rond de centrale vijver, waar vier marmeren koningen met hun rug naar het paleis staan, beelden die oorspronkelijk in de jaren 1750 voor de daklijn waren gebeeldhouwd maar er nooit zijn geplaatst. Op een stille ochtend verandert het water de hele westelijke gevel in een rimpelende spiegel, en de kans is groot dat je het helemaal voor jezelf hebt.
