Fatos rápidos: Neste pátio ao ar livre estão mais de 70 locomotivas a vapor, diesel e elétricas, algumas das quais foram fabricadas ainda no século XIX. O maior exemplar pesa 165 toneladas: a locomotiva a vapor pesada soviética FD, capaz de puxar cargas por um quilômetro inteiro.
Destaques: Um dos exemplares mais surpreendentes é uma locomotiva a vapor alemã de bitola estreita que a Wehrmacht usou na Frente Oriental e que, após a guerra, ainda serviu por décadas nas turfeiras da Bielorrússia.
Dicas de quem conhece
- Wear comfortable shoes. The site has gravel and rails, so you will be walking on uneven ground.
- The best photos are taken early in the morning, when the sun shines from the northeast and does not blind you when photographing the fronts of the locomotives.
- Do not miss the locomotive "Iskra". It is one of the oldest surviving steam locomotives in all of Eastern Europe.
- If you are traveling with children, let them touch the locomotive wheels. There are not many barriers here, so a lot can be seen up close.
