Fatos rápidos: Distribuído por 2,2 hectares, este jardim botânico abriga mais de 10.000 espécies de plantas de cinco continentes. Só as estufas do século XIX contêm 1.800 plantas tropicais e subtropicais diferentes, incluindo uma magnífica palmeira de 150 anos que se estende até o teto de vidro.

Destaques: Bem no fundo da estufa tropical, um gigantesco lírio-d'água amazônico espalha suas folhas por um lago aquecido, com a parte de baixo repleta de espinhos afiados como adagas. Em noites selecionadas de verão, o jardim fica aberto até tarde para os visitantes verem essas flores gigantes desabrocharem e murcharem em uma única noite, exalando um doce perfume parecido com abacaxi.
