Fatos rápidos: É o farol ativo mais antigo do Adriático, e a sua luz brilhou pela primeira vez em 1818. Só recebeu eletricidade em 1960, e até então era mantido por três faroleiros que se revezavam em turnos de oito horas.
Destaques: A pedra para a sua construção foi transportada por navios da pedreira da ilha de Brač, a mesma que forneceu pedra para o Palácio de Diocleciano em Split. A 36 metros de altura, avistam-se três países ao mesmo tempo: Croácia, Eslovénia e Itália, e em dias claros veem-se até os contornos dos Alpes.

- Wear comfortable sneakers as the path to the lighthouse is rocky and uneven, not suitable for high heels.
- The best photos are taken from the stone shore to the right of the lighthouse, where you can also capture the old stone pier in the frame.
- Avoid June weekends as it can get crowded here due to nearby campsites.
- Bring a windbreaker even in good weather, as the bora wind can appear suddenly and blow very strongly.
