Fatos rápidos: Aqui vivem quase 200 espécies e cerca de 1.500 animais, entre eles tigres brancos, macacos-de-cauda-de-leão e cobras-rei. O zoológico é um dos mais antigos da Índia e fica inserido em um jardim botânico de 14 hectares a poucos passos do Museu Napier.
Destaques: A casa de répteis e anfíbios é uma das mais antigas do país e foi construída em torno de um par de históricas árvores banyan, onde cobras-rei e pítons ainda se aquecem. Os macacos-de-cauda-de-leão, uma espécie ameaçada dos Gates Ocidentais, têm um recinto especial onde se balançam entre as árvores bem acima das passarelas.
