Fatos rápidos: Com três andares de altura e uma câmara central ainda coberta por seu telhado original de falsa cúpula de 3.500 anos, esta fortaleza da Idade do Bronze foi construída com mais de 200.000 pedras sem qualquer argamassa. Sua entrada inferior tem apenas 1 metro de altura, forçando cada visitante a se curvar, um design defensivo deliberado que tornava quase impossível atacar a torre.
Destaques: Durante a escavação na década de 1950, arqueólogos descobriram que toda a fortaleza havia sido intencionalmente enterrada sob toneladas de terra e pedra após ser abandonada, preservando perfeitamente a torre central de 20 metros e suas cabanas da vila ao redor. Você ainda pode ver os fornos de barro originais, mós e até grãos de cevada carbonizados exatamente onde caíram quando o povo Nuragico selou o local por volta de 600 AEC.
