Fatos rápidos: O museu fica mesmo por cima de um dos desfiladeiros fluviais mais imponentes da Europa, onde o Danúbio estreita drasticamente e mergulha através dos montes Cárpatos. A sua secção exterior exibe segmentos genuínos de estradas romanas esculpidos nos penhascos pelos engenheiros do Imperador Trajano há quase 2.000 anos.
Destaques: Uma enorme tabula rasa romana, uma inscrição em pedra esculpida a 50 metros de altura nos penhascos acima do Danúbio, proclama o triunfo militar de Trajano aos barcos que passam. Pode pisar o mesmo leito de pedra que os legionários romanos usaram durante as Guerras Dácicas, ainda com sulcos profundos desgastados na rocha pelas rodas dos seus carros de guerra.
