Fatos rápidos: Tubos de papel são o surpreendente material de construção de toda esta estrutura, com 58 colunas ocas sustentando seu peso. A igreja foi desmontada no Japão, enviada através do oceano e remontada em Taiwan por uma equipe de voluntários dos dois países.
Destaques: Todo o edifício é iluminado por uma luz quente que filtra através de suas paredes finas como papel ao pôr do sol, criando um brilho dourado vindo de dentro. Voluntários do terremoto de Kobe de 1995 e do terremoto de Taiwan de 1999 trabalharam lado a lado para reconstruí-lo à mão, passando cada coluna de papel entre si como uma linha de montagem humana.
