Rýchle fakty: Hrad bol postavený v 50. rokoch 14. storočia a slúžil ako bašta Litovského veľkokniežatstva proti Rádu nemeckých rytierov. Dnes v ňom sídli múzeum s vyše 2 000 exponátmi, od stredovekých zbraní až po dobový nábytok.
Zaujímavosti: Interiér hradu bol nedávno zrekonštruovaný sviežimi, živými nástennými maľbami, ktoré zobrazujú scény zo stredovekého dvora litovských kniežat. Trónna sála je malý klenot so zlatými ozdobami a drevenými rezbami, ktoré vás prenesú priamo do 14. storočia.
