The waterfall looks most beautiful between November and April when the weather is clear and pleasant. Between 8 and 10 in the morning there is less crowd here and the lighting is excellent for photography.

Rýchle fakty: Tento vodopád tečúci v hustých lesoch okresu Ratnapura padá z výšky približne 25 metrov v troch úrovniach. Teplá voda z neďalekého minerálneho prameňa Galle preteká cez známe oblasti ťažby drahokamov v Ratnapure.
Zaujímavosti: Jeho jedinečnosť spočíva v tom, že pri kúpaní v malých prírodných jazierkach pod vodopádom môžete medzi vodou vidieť trblietavé kúsky drahokamov. Počas monzúnu je tlak vody taký silný, že hukot vodopádu je zreteľne počuť až dva kilometre ďaleko.

- The wet rocks are very slippery, so wear sandals or shoes with good grip when going into the water.
- There is a small cave on the third level of the waterfall where the view of the water looks amazing, be sure to go there.
