Quick facts: It is both a working film studio and a theme park where visitors can observe real film shoots. The park sees over 9 million people each year, all hoping to be part of the Hollywood magic.
Highlights: During the studio tour, you ride a tram through real film sets where "Back to the Future" and "King Kong" were shot. The most thrilling part is the 3.2 km King Kong 3D adventure, where the tram itself starts to shake and bounce against the ground as if you were truly in the monster's grasp.
Insider tips
- Arrive at the gate 30 minutes before the official opening to be the first to run into The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
- Have lunch in The Simpsons or Springfield area at 11:00 AM, because from 12 PM to 2 PM the restaurants are packed.
- Book a time for the Studio Tour tram first thing in the morning, as afternoon slots are often sold out.
- At the WaterWorld show, sit in rows three to five to get a little splash but not get soaked.
