Honestly, Yoshino feels a bit too touristy during peak season. Loved the sake tastings but pricey. Would skip winter, too cold for me.

Skip the restaurants near the cable car station. Walk down a bit and you’ll find tiny family-owned spots with killer udon at half the price.

If you're heading to the mountain, grab a prepaid bus card at the station. It saved me so much hassle and a bit of cash. Also avoid weekends if you want less crowd.
