关于

快速信息: Sprawling across 1,200 acres, this urban park houses 17 museums, multiple gardens, and the world-famous San Diego Zoo. Its Spanish Colonial Revival architecture was mostly built for the 1915-16 Panama-California Exposition, making many of the ornate buildings over a century old.

亮点: On any given Sunday, the 1915 Organ Pavilion hosts a free concert on one of the largest outdoor pipe organs in the world, with 5,000 pipes tucked into the arched facade. Behind the botanical building lies a 200-foot-long lath house draped in bougainvillea and ferns, a dreamy tunnel of green that most visitors rush right past.

内部小贴士

  • Buy a single-day pass if you plan to visit 3+ museums, otherwise pick 1-2 and enjoy the free attractions.
  • The walk from the parking lots on the south side is short, but the west side (by the Natural History Museum) often has spots open after 9am.
  • Skip the carousel line on weekends; the miniature railroad nearby is often less crowded and more fun for kids.
  • Bring a picnic blanket and grab lunch at the Prado restaurant's takeout window for al fresco dining on the grass.
