In the afternoon, when the sun illuminates the church facade and the sea visible from the terrace is at its bluest. On weekends it can be crowded, so weekdays are more peaceful.

حقائق سريعة: هذه واحدة من الكنائس الكاثوليكية القليلة في شمال أفريقيا، وقد بُنيت كمخصصة لوالدة الإله وكأنها موضوعة على عرش، مع إطلالة مباشرة على البحر الأبيض المتوسط. قبة الجوقة المستديرة تظهر من بعيد من جهة البحر، وفي داخل الكنيسة يوجد تمثال لمريم معلق تحت السقف على ارتفاع 10 أمتار.

النقاط البارزة: على المذبح الرئيسي للكنيسة يوجد تمثال لمريم باللون الأسود، يرمز إلى توحيد شعوب أفريقيا وقد أصبح يُعرف بين الحجاج بلقب "سيدة أفريقيا لدينا". وإذا وقفت على الشرفة أمام الكنيسة، تنفتح أمامك إطلالة على خليج الجزائر بأكمله، ويقول السكان المحليون إنه في الأيام الصافية يمكن رؤية رأس كاب ماتيفو على بعد 20 كيلومتراً.
