- Visit just before closing at 5 PM when the long shadows stretch across the grass and the atmosphere turns especially peaceful.
- Wear closed-toe shoes if it has rained recently, the grass can stay damp and muddy in spots.
- The war cemetery in nearby Mainamati (75 km away) is sometimes combined on a day trip, but don't rush this one, it deserves its own quiet moment.
- Keep your voice low out of respect; local families occasionally come here to picnic quietly among the grounds.
