حقائق سريعة: ترتفع جدران الطوب الأحمر 25 متراً، تمتزج أشكالها القوطية مع الإضافات المُقتبسة من عصر النهضة والباروك من القرون اللاحقة. تتشابك أكثر من 30 نمطاً معمارياً مختلفاً في هذا المجمع الواحد، نتيجة لما يقرب من 500 عام من البناء وإعادة البناء المتواصلة.
النقاط البارزة: عند عبور البوابة الرئيسية، لاحظ الانتقال من الطوب الأحمر إلى الجدران المطلية بالجص الأبيض، وهي خدعة تصميمية متعمدة تجعل القلعة تبدو أكبر من الداخل. تمتد أنفاق تحت الأرض لأكثر من 200 متر أسفل الخندق المائي، لتربط القلعة بكنيسة مخفية لا يجدها سوى عدد قليل من الزوار.

- Arrive right when gates open at 10 AM to explore the main halls before tour groups arrive around noon.
- Climb the southwestern tower for the best overhead view of the moat and the surrounding lake system.
- Skip the on-site restaurant and pack a picnic instead; the grassy area near the northern pond is perfect and rarely crowded.
- Wear comfortable shoes with grip, the spiral staircases in the towers are steep and polished smooth from centuries of use.
