حقائق سريعة: The wool trade from the Patagonian estancias gave reason for the construction, and a strong storm in the 1940s destroyed the original wooden deck. The current replica, 125 meters long, is assembled from local lenga hardwood and has welcomed pedestrians since 2021.

On a clear day, the white Torres del Paine, over 40 kilometers away, look so close you could almost touch them with an outstretched hand.

- Bring a windproof jacket and a secured hat, as gusts from the fjord reach up to 80 km/h even on a clear day.
- Plan your photo session for the west side before sunset, when the peaks turn pink and the water becomes coppery.
- Arrive early in the morning before 9:00, when the cruise groups have not yet flooded the path.
- Do not go only to the pier, combine it with the Cerro Mirador viewpoint for a panorama over the entire bay.
