Arrive at 6:30-7:00 AM before the sunlight whitens the sand and before tour groups arrive. The morning also offers the best chance to see green sea turtles and marine iguanas, which are most active.

حقائق سريعة: رمله الأبيض تكوّن من الشعاب المرجانية التي حطمتها الأمواج، ولونه المبهر يجعل الزوار بحاجة إلى نظارات شمسية. على طول مسار المشي البالغ 2.5 كيلومتر من وسط المدينة، كثيرًا ما يلتقي الناس بالإغوانة البحرية وسرطان سالي لايتفوت البرتقالي الأحمر.
النقاط البارزة: عند الطرف الجنوبي للشاطئ تمتد بحيرة هادئة تحميها غابة المنغروف، حيث تسبح صغار أسماك قرش الشعاب سوداء الزعنفة في مياه تصل إلى الركبة بينما تمر السلاحف الخضراء تحت السطح. القوارب ممنوعة من دخول هذه المنطقة، لذا فإن السباحة جنبًا إلى جنب مع الحياة البرية تبدو وكأنك تمتلك بركة عملاقة خاصة.

- Wear closed-toe shoes for the lava rock trail, then switch to sandals when you reach the sand.
- Bring a wide-brimmed hat and SPF 50 sunscreen because there is not a single shade tree on the wave side of the beach.
- Take photos at Playa Mansa at low tide to get clear shots of reef sharks without expensive equipment.
- Avoid 10 AM to 2 PM when the sun is at its hottest and the waves are at their most ferocious.
