Felt a bit touristy for my taste. Everything geared toward wealthy spa crowd. But the walk from the casino down to the lake is genuinely beautiful, no arguing that.
Skip the fancy restaurants near the casino, they charge double for the same plate. Walk up Rue Nationale toward the market area, the family run spots there are half the price and twice the food.
Spent 3 days here and honestly could've done 2. Charming waterfront and the spring water tasting is a fun little gimmick but the town itself is pretty sleepy after dinner.
If you plan to ride the ferry across to Lausanne, buy a day pass at the machine, not at the window. It's like 40 percent cheaper and the booth guy won't tell you about it.
Came for the thermal baths, stayed for the crepes. Found a tiny spot on a side street that made the best buckwheat galette I've ever had. Wish I'd found it day one.
