النقاط البارزة: فوق القبة ثمة فسيفساء هائلة تُدعى «المسيح في مجده»، تمتد لحوالي 475 مترًا مربعًا وتتلألأ بالذهب والفيروز تحت الضوء كما لو أن السقف يروي قصة. في برج الجرس ثمة جرس ضخم اسمه «سافويارد»، وزنه نحو 19 طنًا وصُكّ عام 1895، عندما يرنّ تشعر باهتزازٍ عميق في صدرك.

- Wear comfortable shoes; the dome involves roughly 300 steep steps and there is no elevator.
- Arrive at opening to beat most crowds for the dome, or 30–45 minutes before sunset for golden light but expect queues.
- Use the square in front of the basilica and the north terrace for classic Paris panoramas and framed photos; avoid shooting into midday sun.
- Skip the crypt if short on time, the nave and the vast cupola mosaic offer more visual impact for most visitors.
