حقائق سريعة: تمتد الجدران الخارجية للقلعة لعدة كيلومترات عبر التلال، ممزوجة بين الطرازين المعماريين الراجبوتي والمغولي. اسمها مشتق من بلدة عامر، التي سُميت على اسم الإلهة أمبيكا، وكانت عاصمة لحكام كاتشواها قبل تأسيس جايبور.
النقاط البارزة: ادخل إلى شيش محل، قصر المرايا، حيث تعكس آلاف قطع الزجاج الصغيرة شمعة واحدة إلى مئات من نقاط الضوء عبر الجدران والسقف. صُممت القلعة بحيث يمكن لموكب تجره الخيول أن يصل مباشرة إلى الفناء الرئيسي عبر بوابة عظيمة منحدرة هندستها خصيصاً للاستقبالات الملكية.

- Skip the controversial elephant ride and hike the ramp or take a shared jeep up instead; it's cheaper and faster.
- Wear sturdy shoes with grip because the stone staircases and courtyards are slick from years of foot traffic.
- Photograph the Sheesh Mahal in the morning when sunlight hits the mirrors directly, as afternoon crowds block the best angles.
- The gardens below the fort, such as Maota Lake, give a quiet, elevated photo spot of the whole fortress facade.
