حول
حقائق سريعة: Spread across 22 acres on the banks of the Dimna Lake reservoir, this cultural village brings together 25 different indigenous communities from around Jharkhand. Each traditional hut displays authentic tribal artifacts, musical instruments, and ritual objects that local families have contributed from their own villages.
النقاط البارزة: Every evening, elders from the Santhal and Munda communities gather at the central amphitheater to perform the Chhau dance, a masked martial-art form that spins through ancient battle stories. Visitors can step inside a real Sohrai-painted mud house, where wall art depicts harvest myths using only natural white clay and charcoal.
نصائح من الداخل
- The Sohrai-painted house on the eastern edge has the most vivid murals and gets the best afternoon light for photos.
- Skip the weekday mornings when most dance performances are cancelled and only a few huts are open.
- Ask for Lakhan at the ticket counter, he's a Santhal elder who gives passionate free guided walks if he's not busy.
- Bring mosquito repellent if you're staying for the evening performance, the lakefront gets buggy after sunset.
