حقائق سريعة: ما يقارب 3,700 نمر يتجول الآن في البرية هنا، ويعود المتغير شاحب الفراء مباشرة إلى موهان، أول نمر أبيض أُمسك به في 1951 على يد عائلة ملكية محلية. يعيش نحو 30 من هذه القطط بلون الثلج في منطقة السفاري أحادية الأنواع هذه، وهي ترتيبة لا توجد في أي مكان آخر على الكوكب.
النقاط البارزة: كل قطة هنا تنحدر من شبل بري واحد، موهان، أُمسك به قرب قرى الغابة في 1951، وما زال هذا الدم الواحد يهيمن على أعداد النمور البيضاء في حدائق الحيوان عبر العالم. اجلس ساكنًا في حافلة الصباح وقد يتسلل ذكر شاحب الفراء إلى مسافة أمتار قليلة، محبساً عينيه الزرقاوين الشاحبتين عليك قبل أن يختفي في الأعشاب الطويلة.
