حقائق سريعة: أثناء التنزه تحت تفرعات واسعة من شجر الطائرة والبلوط، قد تلاحظ غزلان الفالو ترعى بهدوء على المروج، مشهد حياة برية هادئ بشكل مدهش مدمج في المناظر الحضرية. غالبًا ما يكتشف الزوار أن موائل حديقة الحيوان التفاعلية ومئات الحيوانات تحوّل المشي العادي إلى سلسلة من اللقاءات الحية والمسموعة التي تبهج العائلات.
النقاط البارزة: تمتد حوالي 1,750 فدانًا من المروج المتدرجة وأروقة الأشجار مخبأة فيها قطيع يرعى بحرية من نحو 400 غزال فاللو، لذلك في مساء هادئ قد تسمع خطوات حوافر ناعمة وترى قرون الغزلان تتباين خلف نصب ولينغتون. وتقع حديقة الحيوانات بالمدينة، التي تأسست في 1831، داخل أجنحة من الطوب من القرن التاسع عشر حيث يجعل عطر التبن والحجر الدافئ تحت القدمين جولات الرعاة الصباحية كبطاقة بريدية حية من العصر الفيكتوري.

- Arrive early on weekdays to see fallow deer grazing and to avoid weekend family crowds near the zoo.
- Cycle or hire a bike at the park gates to cover more ground, use the wide avenues and dedicated cycle lanes.
- Photograph at golden hour near the Wellington Monument, Papal Cross or the ornamental gardens for the best compositions.
