حقائق سريعة: Perched on the River Shannon's bank, this rough limestone chunk witnessed the 1691 Treaty of Limerick that ended the Williamite War. The stone was originally used as a mounting block for horses and later became a symbol of the broken treaty promises known as the "Violated Treaty."

Locals will tell you the stone was nearly demolished multiple times for road widening, surviving only because residents protested by physically standing around it.
