حقائق سريعة: Covering an area of over 6,400 square meters, the interior is almost entirely sheathed in shimmering gold mosaics depicting biblical scenes. Over 100 million individual glass tiles were used to create these mosaics, a project that consumed more than 2,200 kilograms of pure gold.

The columns supporting the nave are recycled Roman originals, each one a smooth, cool cylinder of granite or marble with a distinct veining pattern, repurposed from ancient pagan temples.
