Best time to visit
Arrive at opening or late afternoon for cooler temperatures and golden light on the columns; spring and early autumn provide milder weather and fewer tour groups.

About
حقائق سريعة: Stone columns rise like a ruined skyline, their fluted grooves catching golden light that makes every photo look cinematic. Archaeologists and casual walkers often spot reused Roman blocks and carved inscriptions tucked into niches, a layered record of people who repurposed what they found.
النقاط البارزة: A little-known tradition sees local families place about 40 small candles along the main path during the summer solstice, their flickering reflections skimming across broken marble. Pause under a Doric column and you can feel the cool, sun-worn stone beneath your palm while a distant shepherd's bell threads through the cypresses, a tiny soundtrack that makes the whole place hum.
Insider tips
- Wear sturdy shoes and a hat, many paths are uneven and shade is limited.
- Start at the Temple of Concordia and work along the ridge, finishing at the hilltop for the best panoramic view.
- Bring a refillable water bottle, fountains are limited in summer and temperatures climb quickly.
- Visit at sunrise or late afternoon to avoid coach crowds and capture the best light for photos.

4.3Golden hour at 6pm was magical with few people and great photos. Entry was about 10 euro and parking 5 euro, totally worth the views.
Brought kids and a stroller, paths are uneven and shade is scarce. Museum entry was 6 euro and the artifacts made that part worth it, but bring water and snacks.
Arrived at 8am and had almost no line. The audio guide was 7 euro and really helped bring the ruins to life.
Visited around 2pm and it was crowded, long wait at the ticket booth. Paid 25 euro for the guided tour and it felt overpriced for the group size.
