حقائق سريعة: تكافئ القمة المتنزهين بإطلالات بانورامية على البحر الداخلي لسيتو، وهو مشهد حصل على المرتبة الثالثة عالميًا من قبل الدليل الفرنسي ميشلان. يصطف ما يقرب من 900 درجة حجرية على طول مسار موميجيداني، وهو أحد ثلاثة مسارات تصعد إلى القمة البالغ ارتفاعها 535 مترًا.
النقاط البارزة: مختبئة بين غابة الأرز على المنحدرات العلوية، تتجوّل الغزلان البرية حتى ممرات المشي، وفي القمة يوجد ضريح صغير يضم لهبًا يُقال إنه ظل مشتعلًا باستمرار منذ عام 806 ميلادي. استُخدمت تلك النار ذاتها لإشعال شعلة السلام في حديقة هيروشيما التذكارية للسلام، مما يجعل هذه القمة رابطًا حيًا لتاريخ اليابان في الصمود.
نصائح من الداخل
- ارتدِ أحذية مسارات ذات قبضة جيدة، فدرجات الحجر تصبح زلقة بالطحالب بعد المطر والصباحات مليئة بالندى.
- مسار دايشو-إن على الجانب الغربي أقل ازدحامًا من موميجيداني ويمر بتماثيل حجرية تاريخية، اختره للعزلة.
- أحضر مصباحًا أماميًا إذا كنت تريد مشاهدة شروق الشمس، فالمسار مظلم تحت الغطاء النباتي الكثيف قبل الفجر.
- تجاوز مطعم القمة ونزّه بالقرب من ضريح أوكونوين بدلًا من ذلك، فالإطلالات من هناك أفضل والحشود أقل.
