حقائق سريعة: يشكل كولاتشيو النواة الأساسية التي تعود للعصور الوسطى في فيتوريوزا. هنا عاش فرسان مالطة من رهبنة القديس يوحنا قبل انتقالهم إلى فاليتا، وقد ظلت المنطقة مأهولة باستمرار منذ القرن التاسع.

النقاط البارزة: في شوارع كولاتشيو الضيقة، تجد الشرفات المالطية الخشبية الأصلية المطلية بالأحمر الداكن والأخضر، والممتدة فوق الأزقة. في المساء، حين يتلألأ الرصف الحجري في ضوء الفوانيس، تشعر وكأنك تدخل مدينة من العصور الوسطى حية توقف فيها الزمن منذ القرن السادس عشر.

Bring good shoes. The cobblestones are uneven and steep in several places.
Come early in the morning when the crowds are gone and the light provides perfect photo opportunities.
Talk to the locals in the backyards. Several open their doors if you knock and introduce yourself.
Eat at one of the small family-run cafes in the alleyways, not the tourist restaurants by the harbor.
